Why have citizens' assemblies suddenly become the rallying cry for many who wish to see the climate emergency tackled with the requisite urgency? What is so powerful about citizens' assemblies and exactly how do they work? In this intriguing presentation Brett Hennig will answer these questions and more - and look towards a future where sortition democracy (the use of representative, randomly selected assemblies of people) accompany - and perhaps even replace - our current legislatures.

This event, presented by Brett Hennig, is part of a series exploring sustainable futures.
